In the United States, goat milk is largely considered a specialty item. But almost everywhere else in the world, it’s a different story. More than 65 percent of the world’s population drinks goat milk — and with good reason. It offers important benefits that other milks don’t.
Goat Milk vs. Cow Milk
Goat milk is a great alternative to cow milk for several health reasons. For example, did you know that goat milk actually contains more calcium than cow milk? Learn more about the differences between goat and cow milk.
Goat milk contains A2-beta casein protein that is great for repairing damaged muscles. Many people who are allergic to the A1-beta casein protein found in cow milk can enjoy the strength-building benefits of goat milk.
(If you have an allergy to cow milk, please speak to your health care provider before trying goat milk.)
All natural milks contain lactose, a milk sugar that consists of glucose and galactose. Goat milk contains less lactose than cow milk, so many people who are unable to tolerate cow milk find they can enjoy goat milk.

When compared with other forms of dairy, goat milk contains smaller fat particles, which tend to stay better suspended and more evenly distributed. We do not artificially homogenize our goat milk, allowing it to maintain its natural, delicious flavor.
All natural
Goats cannot be treated with artificial growth hormones (the way that some dairy cows are). That means Summerhill Goat Milk is 100% pure, nature-made milk, just as nature intended.
Better for the Earth
Summerhill Goat Dairy is powered by clean, renewable solar energy. We keep all milking, processing, and bottling on-site to eliminate unnecessary transportation, save energy, and reduce our carbon footprint.
We pasteurize our milk on-site using a HTST (High-Temperature Short Time) system, which uses less water, power, and resources than other methods of pasteurization and helps maintain the delicious taste of Summerhill Goat Milk.
Great Taste
Summerhill Goat Milk is mild, sweet, and tastes delicious. We chill our goat milk immediately after milking, which helps preserve its natural flavor and characteristics. Just pure, natural milk — right out of the goat.
